The future of J'onn J'onzz is revealed in a return to the world of DC ONE MILLION! It's back to the future of the 853rd Century as three pilgrims gather on Mars to seek the truth in the legends of the long-lost J'onn J'onzz. The secrets that are revealed bring these pilgrims closer to hidden truths about themselves, the planet Mars and, of course, the final fate of the Martian Manhunter!Regarding the events of "1,000,000", a storm pushes three very different life-forms into a cave during the 853rd century on Mars. Each life-form recants the manner of which J'onn J'onzz changed their way of life. The sentient plant organism known as the Hssfsstss explains that its species evolved from their planet's reaction to the Swamp Thing and were given freedom and direction from J'onn J'onzz. The Wind Dancer Valeesha explains that its species was originally disregarded by the dominant race when J'onn had came to their native planet to warn the authorities of an impending Swarm invasion. When J'onn personally mingled with Valeesha, he demanded that the Wind Dancers be included in the planetary evacuation.Lastly, the CrystalKnight Valkun explains that J'onn had brought its race up from oppression with harsh direction, but their kind had grown corrupt and oppressive when they gained power. When the CrystalKnight Valkun sought J'onn out on Mars, he angrily reviled the CrystalKnight Valkun's twisted ways and demanded that their kind repent.United as outcasts, unable to face their own people for lack of understanding of who or what they are, the three life-forms feel elation in opening up to perfect strangers, gaining a sense of identity as well.
